First, let's make sure you are working on the right SmartWay tool. To help, please answer the following questions.

1. Where are you headquartered? *

SmartWay is administered in the United States and Canada, operating the same in both countries. The US and Canadian tools produce the same outputs, but the Canadian version uses metric units and is available in both English and French. If your company operates in both countries, your company should submit in the country in which it is headquartered. Visit the Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) website for more information.

2. Do you have 12 months of data? (Jan to Dec. 2024) *

You must have 12 months of data ending on the 31st of December of last year in order to submit data to SmartWay.

3. Do you operate and manage your own fleet of trucks (owned or leased) that accounts for 5% or more of your outgoing freight? (If you have already submitted information regarding your asset-based fleet(s) using the online truck tool, select "NO".) *

Please complete the SmartWay Truck Tool for your own asset-based fleet. Once you complete the Truck tool, you may also need to fill out this Logistics tool.

4. Do you contract out or broker out more than 5% of your freight to third parties? This includes trucking, rail, barge, air freight companies, and other logistics providers. *
